This book is, in a word, amazing. For Davis, his decision to subscribe to the promise of excitement and empowerment preached by a mysterious newcomer at the local gay youth centre takes both boys into a scary and dark journey from which neither will escape without terrible consequence. Rather than just dealing with the boyfriend relationship between Evan and Erik, With or Without You tackles so much more.
